--- Uploading a forum

In constants.ini, set $nusoap_include to point to nusoap.php (this exists in
NITRCSRC under gforge/www/soap/) and $domain to be the domain of the GForge
installation that is receiving the upload. Both of these are needed by the
web service that uploads the attachments.

Run upload_forum with no arguments for a description of how the forum
messages and attachments should be prepared. There is a sample setup in
example_forum.

Create a forum to which the messages will be uploaded and record the ID of
the forum. In the same project, create a documentation folder to receive
the attachments and record the ID of this document group.

Run upload_forum on the server running the installation which will receive
the upload. If there are attachments to upload, the script will ask for
your login and password for the installation in question, which is needed by
the web service to upload the attachments. If you log in with an
administrative account for the project in question, the attachments will go
straight into the documentation folder and won't need to be approved
post-upload.

upload_forum gives a lot of diagnostic information; in general if it
encounters an error it will bail out, so it should be sufficient to check
the last few lines of output to see if the upload was successful. The first
few lines of output are also informative; they give the number of messages
and attachments that are to be uploaded, the group name, forum name, and
document group name, as well as an upload ID. The upload ID is a unique
identifier assigned to the group of messages and attachments being uploaded.

After upoading the forum messages, delete the welcome message in the forum.

--- Deleting forum messages and attachments

Use delete_upload, which takes as its argument the ID assigned to a group of
messages and attachments when they were uploaded by upload_forum.
delete_upload doesn't clear out an entire forum or document group; it only
deletes messages and attachments that were uploaded together.

--- Activating a user

Run activate_user with two arguments: the name of the external user that the
post is credited to, and the ID of the registered user. activate_user will
go through all forum messages (in all forums and all projects -- so this
should be used carefully!) and credit the registered user with posts that
were credited to the external user. For example, if Ted Striker (who posted
thread 2 message 1 in example_forum/) registers as user 209, running
"activate_user 'Ted Striker' 209" will update posts by "Ted Striker" to
credit user 209.
